Wishes Come True

– Share Ideas, Listen, Read, Create and Innovative –

What do you wish?

Tips to spark your wishes

Talk to others — especially people who inspire you, people you find interesting and people you would like to like to learn something from.

Creative Conversations — Share your thoughts and ideas to make things and start something new with others. One thought inspires another thought. The next idea may come to life while you are having a pizza with friends, while you are sitting by someone in a waiting room or on a plane. Ask their thoughts. Sometimes you may not want to hear what they have to say but often they spark another layer to your idea.

Go to the library and bookstore. Wander around and pick up magazines and books that interest you. There’s something magical about picking up a book that someone wrote. Read more about what you would like to know and more about what you don’t know.

A book is more than words on pages. Every word on each page words wandered around in someone’s thoughts before they put their thoughts into writing. Many authors spent years pouring over the words they wrote before they turned into an actual manuscript. Authors travel a very long and challenging journey writing a book, finding a publisher, sitting on the bookstore shelf and waiting for a reader to buy and read their book.

Share books and articles you read with others. You may be their inspiration.

Be open to learning new things — Every interaction and discussion we have with other people is an opportunity to learn something new.

Write, Draw, Doodle, Paint — Sometimes you don’t know what you are going to write until you write their first thoughts that wander through your mind. Sometimes you don’t know what you are going to draw, doodle or paint until you start drawing or painting. The secret to creating something is to do something. You never know what you will end up with. Whatever you do may change your life in unexpected ways.

Getting ideas out of your head is not always easy. Writing things down, drawing and doodling can help you get your ideas out of your head. You will be surprised how your ideas begin to take shape

Listen to others when they are talking. Attentive listening is often challenging for many of us. Ideas and thoughts seem to pop into your head and before you know it you are talking instead of listening.

Attentive listening is truly a gift. You may miss out on a great opportunity to learn something inspiring or something that will spark your ideas when you listen.

Carry a notebook and pen all the time — Thoughts and great ideas tend to disappear quickly. Write them down.

Be mindful of the present moment — Often the chaos of daily life, work, family, cell phones and computers tend to use up all of our time. It you truly have a wish in your heart you must give your wish attention. Take time to ponder on your wish and write it down. Make your wish every day and dream your wish is true every night.

Don’t be afraid to question your thoughts. Be conscious of what you are thinking. One of my favorite quotes is “You become what you think about all day long” — Ralph Waldo Emerson and “You become what you think about all day long and those days eventually become your life.” — Dr. Wayne Dyer

Consciously watch and observe others — Watching others create and observing their creations is inspiring. Often, inspiration from others sparks innovative ideas and inspires us to do the next big thing.

What does your future look like? What does it look like to you? What does it look like for others? What about future generations? In a perfect world what does the future look like?

“To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science.” – Albert Einstein
